Learn to play golf
‘Golf is a sport in which a player, using several types of clubs, hits a ball into each hole on the golf course in the lowest possible number of strokes’ – says Wikipedia - and it all sounds kind of easy! Well actually we know it’s easy - we’ve seen a guy called Tiger Woods doing it on Sky!
A golf course has either 9 or 18 holes, each about 220 feet away from where you start, so even for an experienced golfer, a round of golf is a time-consuming business. For a beginner – it’s an eternity! Because of this, it’s a terrific idea to learn to play golf on holiday!
When time has no meaning and there are a lot fewer friends around, to watch you taking air shots, chunks out of the turf, or hitting sheep in adjacent fields. – believe me, it’s a lot more relaxing!
But don’t be put off – golf is a brilliant social game played on many different levels – and thankfully, you never get to realise how bad you are until you’ve improved!
Also, golf lessons have a huge bonus! Most of the golf instructors are young, fit, incredibly good looking and teaching anything at all seems to involve putting strong, brown, hairy arms around you – from behind – and swaying. The official reason for this is to show you how to hold your clubs properly!
Superb fun! Just select one of these brilliant holidays and go for it - you don't have to be gay, or feisty and female to have the time of your life!
