Description
Welcome to this spectacularly scenic area with its pure beauty and simplicity of the Italian countryside. The Name Shambala is derived from a Tibetan word meaning Paradise on earth, and we will ensure that your stay at Shambala with us will be exactly that. Shambala Retreat is a beautifully Restored farmhouse with three additional buildings set in 8 acres of land.

If you are looking for a holiday away from mass tourism and children, this is a retreat only for adults surrounded by clean mountain air, and is a superb location for relaxation, Rejuvenation & Healing. We all know that a good rest is the key to vibrant health. The Shambala Retreat offers a host of soothing and healing treatments & packages which can be designed & combined to suit every guest or you may choose to just relax and read a book.

Active outdoor lovers will be more than satisfied with the range of Leisure Activities on offer in the area which includes Walking, Cycling, and Fishing, Hang-Gliding, Horse riding and many more.

Local restaurants provide an atmosphere of this region of Italy, serving authentic local dishes with lots of good food & wines.

The Shambala Retreat is Situated 2 Kilometres outside the medieval walled village of San Ginesio; the Village stands on a hill 680 metres above sea level, and is an important centre for artistic and historical interest.

The surrounding landscape is known as the Balcony of the Sybillini, with the landscape extending from the sea to the mountains. On Mount Sibillini, in the resorts of Sassotetto and Maddalena there are ski slopes to suit all levels, open from mid December to the end of March. The Monti Sibillini National park with its Museum, Abbey, Caves, Waterfalls, Glacier, Sacred and Magical areas are wonderful places which we recommend to visit. We are also surrounded by lots of old Churches, Castles and Fortresses which are steeped in History.
